On April 8, a solemn opening ceremony of the project “The Year of the Russian Language and Literature – 2025” was held at the No. 1 Polytechnic Technical School in Nukus. The project is supported by the “Russkiy Mir” Foundation.
Guests of the event were welcomed with traditional bread and salt by girls dressed in Russian national costumes. As part of the project, a Russian language classroom was opened at the technical school, fully equipped with all necessary visual aids and thematic materials.
At the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by the Chairperson of the Russian Cultural Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, G.A. Zorkina, the director of the technical school, M.T. Seitbekov, and teachers of the Russian language.
The speakers emphasized the growing interest in the Russian language and literature in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. They expressed confidence that the introduction of modern teaching methods would bring Russian language and literature education to a new level.
At the end of the event, a festive concert prepared by students of the technical school was presented.
